Septron Basket centrifuge works in a simple principle, the Solid Wall Basket centrifuge uses centrifugal force to promote Solid- liquid separation. The Feed slurry is introduced into the rotating basket and accelerated to the basket speed. Solid or contaminants are pulled away from the liquid by centrifugal force and liquids are collected at bottom wall of the basket shell, Cakes or solids which are stopped by the filter cloths are tend to form as a cake. Filtration continues until the basket can no longer retain any solids and must be emptied immediately. Basket Centrifuge machines are ideal for handling small amount sludge in a short Batch process.
